Match Report
A brave performance against a strong Barking Colts Academy side ended in a 48-12 defeat. Chingford were competitive in a first half that ended 17-5 to the home team, however the superior fitness and speed of Barking plus injuries to a number of the Chingford lads saw them run away towards the end of the match giving a score that did not reflect a hard fought encounter. The game was played hard, in good spirit, excellently refereed, on unforgiving ground against unforgiving opponents. John Smith scored Chingford’s opening try and deep into the second half Devon Baronet scored one of the tries of the match converted by Sam Taylor.
